Reducing Pain.Providing Hope.
Pain, especially chronic or long-term pain, can affect every aspect of a person’s life. At Integrated Pain Solutions, we know that pain has many complex causes and there is no single solution. That’s why we created an integrated approach that treats both body and mind.
Our goal is to help patients effectively manage their pain – putting them back in control of their lives. In the process, we aim to instill hope in our patients. Hope for reduced suffering. Hope for a better tomorrow.
We treat pain by treating the whole person.
Our expert pain specialists are dedicated to helping patients manage their pain using a holistic, integrative approach that brings together a variety of evidence-based solutions. Each treatment plan is individualized to meet the specific needs and objectives of each patient and the kinds of pain they are suffering.
We work with patients to meet the challenge of managing chronic pain.
Hope does not come in a pill.
We founded IPS during the second wave of the opioid crisis, determined to offer patients a better way to help patients find relief without resorting to highly addictive pain medications.
Our approach begins with education and support for healthy lifestyle changes in diet and movement. Treatment plans may include medication management, along with interventional procedures like injections. We also promote alternative methods like group therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care, yoga, mindfulness, expressive writing, and other solutions that promote neuroplasticity, or natural “rewiring” of the brain, enabling patients to start thinking and reacting to their pain differently.
At our nine clinics throughout central and southeastern North Carolina, we don’t just deliver relief – we deliver hope.
Our patients actively help one another.
Our “whole patient” approach has led IPS to one of our core methods of treatment: group visits.
We have found that our patients have better outcomes when they are active participants in their treatment. In these voluntary but encouraged group visits, patients meet regularly in small groups. Each session incorporates a lesson plan specifically designed to address various factors that can affect pain and ways to gain control. Group visits are supplemented with one-on-one meetings.
Patients have described IPS group visits as “life-changing.”
“I found group visits to be the missing part of my hope to reduce my back pain and gain a more active life. I found through others a better mindset and tips for me to live more actively. I can't say I’m back, but I can say I am closer.”
– Steve, IPS Group Visit Participant
